Keep in mind; we didn’t get a ton of products for our first impressions. We got an eye palette and a few different lip products. There are so many products that we want to try, and we just haven’t yet. We will be sharing more posts on Colourpop Cosmetics in the future!
Dream St. Pressed Powder Shadow Palette
This palette is a dream, y’all.
All the colors are so pigmented and beautiful.
It’s a bit daunting, but we know that’s only because we are still learning the ins and outs of the palette. If you are already amazing at utilizing pigmented colors, you will adore this palette.
Everything in this palette is extra, but we love it. It’s a great mixture of shimmer and basic colors.
One thing that we don’t love as much is that there is a bit of fall out on the palette. The colors seem to stick to the top of the palette or around the colors in the palette sometimes. It’s not a ton of lost color; it’s just a bit annoying sometimes because it gets on my hands unnecessarily.
We do love this palette though, and we know that we will be playing around with it a lot over the next few months. We love the mix of nudes and bold colors in this palette, and it’s gonna become a go-to.
Lux Lipstick
Okay. we wanted to love these. we don’t hate them, but we don’t love them. They are so-so for me to be honest.
We did this photo shoot plus another with one of these on in the shade Hello Stranger. The color was gorgeous and beautiful.
BUT…
It got everywhere. And when we say everywhere, we mean everywhere.
We can’t make this up, y’all.
The formula is very wet, and we feel like it never gets that genuinely matte finish. This lipstick is touted as a “creamy matte” lipstick, and we get creamy, but not so much the matte.
Ultra Glossy Lip
This is a beautiful shade to pop on top of your lipstick or just wear by itself.
It’s going to be retired soon, so if you want it, grab it (it’s even on sale for $4.80)!
We are interested in trying more of their ultra glossy lip products. They have a beautiful finish that’s not too sticky or icky. If you are looking for a simple, fabulous lip gloss, this is an excellent choice for you!
